Not to be Missed

Events being held on behalf of the EOG Association for Conservation during the OutDoor fair this year include the first ever screening of The Age of Stupid in Germany, which forms part of the OutDoor Movie Nights on Thursday 16 July, at 18.30hrs in Hall A2, with free beer and is sponsored by Pertex. An archivist in 2055 reviews what we could have done to save the world, and asks why we didn’t stop climate change when we had the chance. A powerful and unforgettable film. See more about the film here

Beware the Bread&Butter Theatre Company – this duo of wacky street performers will be doing walkabouts during Thursday and Friday at the show to entertain and amuse as well as spread the message about conservation. Sponsored by Pertex and Lowe Alpine, the Bread&Butter guys will also be handing out a small piece of the environment – so pick up your free Matchstick Garden – take them home and watch them grow! – sponsored by the Mammut Sports Group.

Announcement of new projects including short talks from some of the projects awarded for 2009 will take place on Friday 17 July, 13.00hrs Room Berlin, Foyer East (with simultaneous translation into German).

“Live for the moment” a talk by Timmy O’Neill about his recent ascent of El Cap with his paralysed brother – sponsored by Patagonia, with free beer. Come along on Saturday 18 July, 17.00hrs to Room Switzerland, Foyer West.
This will be followed by the OutDoor Party which this year will be opened by Timmy on behalf of the EOG Association for Conservation.

Finally – look out for floor stickers around the show, indicating members who support the EOG Association for Conservation.
